Psoriasis has common and uncommon presentations, with varying distribution and local features. A patient may have more than one type of psoriasis at the same or different times. The main characteristics of psoriatic lesions are symmetrical distribution, well-demarcated morphology, scaling and persisten ce.

Guttate psoriasis
What are the features?
Guttate psoriasis often starts in childhood or young adulthood following streptococcal or upper respiratory infection. It presents with multiple red, slightly scaly plaques, predominantly on trunk and proximal limbs. This form of psoriasis often resolves within a few months, but may reappear at a later date or progress to plaque psoriasis.
